There are not many cartoons around which satirize religious ideas. Jesus and Mo' do their bit for the day that's in it: http://www.jesusandmo.net/2007/04/04/plan/ but are there more than just J+M? Post them if there are!

I have been constructing a theory.

Jesus is made of bread.

My line of reasoning is this:
Jesus walked on water. How? Bread floats. Well, at least until the ducks eat it.

The miracle of Jesus coming up with enough bread to feed 5,000? He just kept growing new bits and breaking them off.

What's one of their favorite quotes? "HE IS RISEN." What does bread dough do after you beat it down, seemingly to death? After a while IT RISES AGAIN. Tell me that's just a coincidence. Go on, I dare you.

Jesus' face has been sighted in pita bread, and a pancake. Mary's face has been sighted on a cheese sandwich.

And my final crowning piece of evidence: if you compare the results of chromatography on a pre-blessed eucharist and a blessed one, they will be exactly the same, right?

The only logical conclusion is that JESUS IS MADE OF BREAD.

Quick, someone get me a guest appearance on The 700 Club. I need to spread the word. *insane nod*

This week b3ta.com is asking people about God. Political or Religious correctness is not on the agenda: definitely NSFW. Here's a reasonably safe sample:

When I was younger, I wanted a bike really, really badly. I used to pray to God for a shiny new bike.

Of course realising God doesn't work that way I nicked one and prayed for forgiveness.

My descent into atheism
As a small child, I attended a C of E primary school where we sang hymns, prayed and got dragged up to church every now and then. The God stuff seeped in, and so, like most kids at faith schools, I was a good little bible-basher.

Until the tender age of nine, when I first began to question the whole Christianity shebang. It started with a cartoon featuring zombies.

I could see no way Jesus differed from the undead freaks.

Still can't, actually. So if I ever see Jesus, I have my flamethrower and I'm ready.

My wife was asked to be a Godmother, then told a couple of weeks later that she wasn't allowed, because she is Indian, and presumably therefore Godless.

Apparently it was OK though, that the woman chosen to take her place, carried out her duties in church wearing a strapless dress which exposed a massive tattoo of a grinning, winking cartoon Satan.
