Thought it was the multiple accounts more than anything. He did kinda lose it after appearing on the last word radio show though.

    I don't get it.
If it's too late to pray: How Can We Be Saved?

According to some of the calvinist tradition, praying has no effect, because all has been decided beforehand. Likewise being "good". You're either on the boat (one of the "elect"), or you aren't, essentially. Theres variations of that, of course. Albert Speer was apparently greatly drawn to this notion towards the end of his life, for reasons you might guess at.

So if it's been all decided beforehand, then what's the purpose of their demonstration except to gloat, or something? If heaven's going to be filled with the kind of people who think they're superior by virtue of an accident of birth, then I'm glad I'm not going.

In fact, if it's all been decided, then what's the purpose of following a religious creed at all? Eat, smoke, drink, fornicate, enjoy yourself. You've already been given a golden ticket!

This religion **** just gets more and more nonsensical.

I'm guessing they don't like the idea that even "repentant" gays might be knocking about in heaven.

I know who he is but I can't say.
He was on the show recently though defending clerical abuse in exactly the same way as he did here but left with his tail between his legs thankfully.

We had my daughter baptised for family reasons. My price was that I got to choose the cake.

Probably the most ridiculous talk I've listened to. You can see how people can easily get duped by his confidence in the way he talks but he is nothing but an idiot.

I managed to watch the whole thing. Albeit through my fingers as my head was in my hands most of the time.

I will never be that bored - not as long as I have paint I can watch dry or kettles I can watch boil.

Getting inspiration from people who's ignorance knows no bounds is generally not a good idea. Dig out The Oxford book of Modern Scientific writing and read those essays then continue writing that thesis whatever it is*. :)

*Unless it's something on the phenomenon of human ignorance of course.

It started off as hoping it was something I could laugh at.. but then it just got terribly depressing. Would love to see him on Bill Mahers show. *goes to check*

No luck... although I did manage to find this.

Watch as Ali G single handedly disproves creationism* and shuts up Eric Hovinds Dad.

    *May have slightly over exaggerated.

    My head hurts.

The only "fact" he said he said in that video that I'd like to believe is that 75% of students were leaving their faith after high school.
