What with being a big fat hypocrite and whatnot, we got the baby baptised last week - I would have loved that Steve Buscemi candle for the occasion!

Well I think that dress would have been OK for a beach wedding, but not for a church one. The question is, why would someone bother with the whole church wedding thing if they're not willing to respect the conventions?

Should we go like other Pic/Vid threads and stop quoting images?

In fairness I'd be asking where the rest of the dress was if she showed up like that in a church too

What are the conventions? Apart from the ones outlined above, the church really isn't very clear. In fact, if you take a look in Genesis, we should probably all be naked as God got really pissy right around the time those two layabouts started wearing clothes.

Seeing as my ex and her family are insisting my daughter does her communion, these candles shall be my contribution to it.

    Where can I get these?

You could make them easy enough, it's just a candle with the printout stuck between it and the holder.

    What are the conventions?
The conventions vary according to the region and the church, eg I happened to stop at a shop opposite a church in N. Ireland not so long ago and happened to see the people going in. It was remarkable how they were all dressed up, the women all wearing dresses (not jeans) and also hats. If I was going to attend that church, I'd make some attempt to look respectable. Its nothing to do with the bible, just common sense. When in Rome do as the Romans do.

I see. In that case I say to hell with convention! No way I want to be invaded by any Vandals whilst holidaying in Rome! Also, blindly following convention prevents new ideas from arising.

This shop is on vacation, apparently!

Can't see the price seeing as the shop is on it's holliers:confused:, but when he comes back I hope to get a steve buscemi and a kate winslet if he has one (and they don't cost a fortune).
The one with the sexy vampire sister from twilight looks surprisingly angelic - wouldn't seem out of place in a grotto somewhere!

    Shít! Didn't notice that.
But in my experience a quick email usually changes that only ships to....wherever nonsense. It makes no sense if you're selling something to exclude customers for no good reason!

It's strange how scientology's ad campaigns sound a little humanist in language, remember that superbowl ad they did and someone just changed the "scientology" nameplate at the end to "atheism"? This one.

    Ah, thanks!

The original links, when I click them, are shorted with the "..." in the middle still in place, that's why they're not working. No idea why that is, though.
