Poe's Law is an axiom suggesting that it's difficult, if not impossible, to distinguish between parodies of religious or other fundamentalism and its genuine proponents, since they both seem equally insane.

The fact that they included Satanism suggests to me it's parody.

But sometimes there is always that nagging doubt; because, somewhere, someone probably does believe it, or similar... :pac:

I was going to state that in fairness to Mr. Gilyard, he may have been convicted of something minor (like public nudity), but a little googling shows me that he was convicted of sexually abusing a 15 year old.

On the one hand I'm glad that the kids are being left at home while the parents go to the local indoctrinatorium, on the other it makes you wonder about people who will fight to follow a convicted molestor.

A nice man was in Carlow and he talked to us about how Jesus was good and religion was bad. He asked us to pray with him and accept Jesus, we declined but he was nice about it so that's something.

I don't know if this should be in the Hazards of Belief but I found it uber funny.

    I prefer Ezekiel 23 meself.
19Yet she increased her whoring, remembering the days of her youth, when she played the whore in the land of Egypt 20and lusted after her paramours there, whose members were like those of donkeys, and whose issue was like that of horses. 21Thus you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when the Egyptians handled your bosom and pressed your young breasts.”

I mean, the word to live by or what. Someone really should make an Ezekiel sign and get behind the goal on the Sunday Game :pac:

Is it actually the same guy as always brings it to Croke Park?

I feel really sorry for him if he does nothing else.
