There are not many cartoons around which satirize religious ideas. Jesus and Mo' do their bit for the day that's in it: http://www.jesusandmo.net/2007/04/04/plan/ but are there more than just J+M? Post them if there are!

Woke up, wife flicked on Sky News, funny to listen to the commentators.

Generally goes as follows:

Makes statement in line with the belief of the catholic church, states it as fact, takes a slow deep breath, then clarifies, "as catholics believe".

Points out that in Britain, Catholicism is in the minority, then gives out that the majority of British will be a bit miffed that they didn't send a "better" bunch of diplomats.

The oceans do fall about all over the place actually, thanks to the earth's rotation and the wobble its axis has. It's a factor in the tides, albeit a smaller one than the moon's gravity. So the poor girl is wrong on TWO counts. Man, I miss 2nd-3rd year physical oceanography lectures...

I wrote another semi-religious funny. Given the recent conclave and all, a retrospective on some of the frankly astounding popes the church has had through the centuries seemed appropriate.
