*knows*

Well, the think about 'Crocoduck' is that it's basically an actual crocodile with a duck like head (as opposed to the crocodile headed duck photoshops doing the rounds). Hadrosaurs were prober dinosaurs with duck like bills. You'd have to be ignorant (like Kirk) to think they looked like crocodiles.

I'm pretty sure his argument went along the lines of: 'If birds evolved from reptiles we should find a transitional fossil that is half duck and half crocodile.'
Of course 'Crocoduck' is not the ancestor of modern ducks, but rather a product of convergent evolution. That said, Archaeopteryx has for years been known as the transitional fossil between reptiles and birds, but Creationists don't really like acknowledging it.
Of course, it wouldn't surprise me if they moved the goalposts again and said they wanted to see the trasitional fossil alive and well (y'know defeating the purpose of being a fossil). Sure enough, there is a modern bird called the hoatzin, which has claws similar to Archaeopteryx that are used by chicks for climbing. Ad the fact that all modern birds have reptile like scales on their legs/feet and pretty much every base is covered.
In summary, Kirk is full of s***. :)

So yeah on topic:

Actually, apparently Comfortable Kirk does reckon that Crocoduck should be alive today...

That's quite pathetic :(

Yesterday in Sweden, trubies(*) took it where it hurts.

Somebody was ordained bishop. Nothing strange about that, but this person is (a) a women, she is (b) a lesbian, she's (c) married to another lesbian and (d) they're guardians of a three-year old child! More on this lightning-averse story here:

http://www.thelocal.se/23148/20091109/

If that doesn't call down the righteous wrath of god, well, perhaps he's not up there?

(*) plural of 'truby', a True Believer.

Technically Dracula was resurrected from the dead as well. And if you're going to make the argument that he was still dead because he was "undead" then that applies to the zombies too :pac:

Got this in an email. Probably a fake but it's pretty funny whether it is or not.
Do dogs go to heaven?
This is literally a 'church signs' debate, being played out in a Southern US town, between Our Lady of Martyrs Catholic Church, and Cumberland Presbyterian, a fundamentalist church. From top to bottom shows you the response and counter-response over time. The Catholics are displaying a much better sense of humor! You get the impression that the Presbyterians are actually taking this seriously and are getting a bit upset... ?ui=2&ik=369aee7300&view=att&th=121c4e94b00e620e&attid=0.2&disp=emb&realattid=0.1&zw

A priest was having a drive in his car when a cop pulled him over because he was speeding. The cop says, "You were going a little fast back there. Have you been drinking father?".
"No sir", replies the priest.
The cop notices a half empty bottle on the floor of the priests car and asks him to hand it to him. "Thats just my water", says the priest.
The cop has a snif, "Smells more like wine to me".
"Ah no!" says the priest, "He did it again!"

I don't trust people who don't like The Office. They are exactly the kind of people who find Eddie Izzard funn... oh yeah.
