BTW, SIT is realyl weird when lots of religious are doing it together - a bit like being in a room full of lunatics, all ululating at the tops of their voices, eyes glazed, heads lolling from side to side. Unsettling.

Aside, in many ways one can trace the rise and fall of ancient(and not so ancient) empires by the availability of forests and then their subsequent disappearance. One of the big reasons Rome looked north and west to Gaul and Germany was their seemingly inexhaustible supply of wood. Guys like Pliny wrote whole books on trees and wood.
