Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Problem with ICS

    Whenever I start windows, ICS cannot start due to an error, so I have to manually go into connection settings and enable it, and turn my firewall to on. Not a huge task but still shouldn't be happening....Any ideas on how to fix this?

    What's the error?

    Check the System event log* to see what the error was, that should give you a basis for searching on :)

    *Start -> Run... -> "compmgmt.msc" -> OK -> System Tools -> Event Viewer

    The Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service depends on the Windows Management Instrumentation service which failed to start because of the following error:
    A device attached to the system is not functioning.

    That's our man...will try and google it now while I'm at it.

    Also something is raping my connection....getting pings of 1000 in games, browsing is slower then 56k, but I've run various spyware scans in normal and safe modes, can't find anything...

    Have tried everything now. I have Zonealarm firewall, avg antivirus, avg anti-spyware, spybot. Run them all, found nothing, but internet still at a crawl (about 2kb/s, full speed when start up but gets slower and slower) and still getting error messages. Also frequently getting 'Windows has recovered from a serious error' and a few other small problems, like I cannot change my background, it's greyed out and I cannot pick anything...
