Ive read a few articles and seen a few programmes over the past few months whereby people in the UK are successfully claiming back unfair charges from banks for things such as exceeding O/D limits, missing DD payments etc.

Someone discovered the banks cannot legally make money out of these penalties - they can only charge enough to cover their costs.

The BBC even posted a how to to help people claim these fees back: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6170209.stm

Just wondering if anyone knows of anything similar in Ireland - is there a case for the same here?
