Which is the toughest solid wood floor?

...in general - out of Birch, Maple, Beech & Ash? (Just those 4 - I know oak is harder but we have that elsewhere and want a paler wood and are buying from our local builders' supplier so Bamboo is out). Birch is our favorite but I just want to check before we buy. Thanks.
