    1990 Nissan Micra 1.0L

Although now the engine is fecked in it (piston ring gone), it's now only running on 3 cylinders. Can't afford to get it repaired or get a new car, so it'll have to do for a while. Going up hills can be entertaining! ;)

1.9 JTDm - newer variant of the JTD engine fitted to the earlier release GT's. It makes the car Euro 4 emissions compliant - there is an addition of a further particulate filter.

    Specs:
    1910cc, 4 cylinder, 16v 6-speed

    150BHP @ 4000 RPM
    305NM @ 2000 RPM (superb fun, particularly in 3rd, 4th gear)

Clattery.. Well first start on a cold morning it is a little noisey. After that, little difference at idle and pretty much no difference at motorway speeds.
This is my first diesel having had many petrol engined cars previous to this, including a petrol GT... no comparison in the 'bang for buck' stakes!
