Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

5Live just reported it there. Lawrie Sanchez to take over on a caretaker basis. I imagine he will be offered the job if they stay up.

It's being going fairly badly since Christmas. Only won one in last fifteen Prem matches. I think the crowd turned on him after the defeat to City yesterday too.

Just heard the news on ITV, quite surprising tbh.

Healy to move there in the Summer?

fell sorry for the guy, kinda liked him as a manager. I guess it was inevitable. it's a pretty impossible task i think to get anything more out of Fulham with the resources they have. good luck to Lawrie, it'd be good to see him do well, wonder what it would mean to N.I though.

WTF? Very strange time to announce this, but to be honest, after the City result anticipated this. I always like Chris but obviously that's not enough to keep you in charge of a Premiership club...

As a Fulham fan I’m not surprised, the teams performance has gotten worse every season he has been in charge, the sale of Boa Morte was the final nail in the coffen of the stylish football Fulham played under Tigana.

Last season Fulham had one of the best home records in the league, since Christmas that has gone, I went to see Fulham play Villa a few weeks ago and after sixty minutes it was blatantly obvious that Coleman was happy to settle for a draw.

I do think he was been unlucky, I think Jimmy Bullards injury was a big loss but even without Bullard Fulham have a strong midfield. The problem has been lack of quality centre halfs and it’s been the same problem for five seasons,

Hopefully Sanchez can bring two wins which should keep the club up, looking to next season I hope Al Fayed shows some ambition and tries to bring in a decent manager, whoever he brings in needs to be backed in the transfer market. I know people will ask who’d touch the job but I think Fulham have a decent squad, at least one quality centre half and a proven goal scorrer and the club could break top ten.

wow, wasnt expecting that! feel sorry for the guy, but i suppose they have been in freefall. still didnt expect him too leave till the summer though

it always appeared to me as if Al Fayed lost interest in the club, almost as if he wanted to have a lasting monument to Dodie and after that he kind of slipped into the background, not something you would expect from Al Fayed.

I thought Coleman did quite well under the circumstances, but I'm not surprised he has gone.

Didn't they get rid of Tigana in 2003 with only a few games remaining too?

About time, Coleman plays the type of football that strives to come 4th bottom in the league.

I'd love Fulham to get relegated, they add nothing to the PL.

Think there's more to this to be honest, Al Fayed is known to be very moralistic so I wouldn't be surprised if the stuff in the papers about Coleman in recent weeks caused some problems.

He admitted himself on the telly on Monday that it was causing problems at the club

Thats NI fecked then so. Sanchez will be gone to Fulham on a full time basis in the summer, no doubt.

Although will he actually leave them? Top of the group and half way through the qualifying stages. It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. He'd want to get off to a winning start against Reading or Fulham could go into freefall.

Didnt Sanchez mention before that he'd never manage a premiership team?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,181 ✭✭✭Davidth88

Good question where does this leave NI ?

What Sanchez has done for NI is amazing .

I have always wondered what Al Fayed's long term plans were for Fulham , their ground belongs to a bygone era ( I know they have planning issues and that half the ground is listed ... but ).

I always had a lot of respect for Colman wasn't he in a horrible car crash ?

    what stuff?

NI will not be happy either if Sanchez takes the job full time. It has gotten increasingly harder to hold down two jobs in soccer

Is there such a thing as good gossip? Personally I prefer to leave all that sh1te to the ladies that read the likes of Now and Heat magazine.

Watching them against Everton last Friday they were pretty woeful....

A change was probably needed alright.

That's a shame; I always found Coleman's accent quite entertaining.
