Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Connection between Meteor and O2- problem prone

Does anyone else suffer this? One of my mates has recently switched from O2 to Meteor, and in that time I have successfully managed to call him a total of two times (I am on O2). It was only then that it hit me that pretty much everyone I contact who has Meteor I experience some type of problem.

Two guys have a persistent problem whereby when I call them, the phone will sound like it has been picked up. When I say hello, I can hear an echo of my own voice, I have to hang up and start again.

One guy doesnt seem to be able to hear for about the first 7 seconds of the call (we take the piss and imitate his "allo? allo?" accent and called him deaf, but now when you connect it to the rest of the nonsense associated with Meteor/O2 connections)

One girl seemed not to be able to hear me when I would ring her the first time. Id have to hang up and call back.

Finally the guy mentioned at the start. Its got to the ridicilous stage where if I want to talk I have to send a call me (and one that costs, as O2 dont do free call mes outside their network)

I dont get these issues generally when I call any other network but Meteor are a nightmare. I was thinking of switching from O2 as their reliability has been woeful lately (they have had at least two network outages this year, when I needed my phone most), but my experience with Meteor from the above isnt the best. What do you think?

Ring up O2/meteor customer care and ask them to investigate the problem? It could be a connection issue, or an account not being picked up correctly.

I get the same issues sometimes. It was worse when I was with Meteor but I switched to O2 a while back. I don't know of any solutions though. As, suggested, customer care would be a good start.
I rarely call a Meteor phone so it doesn't really bother me.

I have experienced this on vodafone as well. I think it may be a meteor issue

Shane86 - I think you answered your own question, you are on O2 and have no problems unless calling Meteor numbers......
