Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

AVG Free is requiring activation...

    Hi all,

Has anyone come across AVG Free requiring activation? After a HDD wipe and XP reinstall, the first thing I do is install AV. I downloaded the latest install file for AVG Free. Installation went fine and updated Okay.

I then activated windows and did XP security updates. After a couple of restarts, an AVG message appears saying that it cannot find the licence key and requires installation.

I ran the uninstallation, but at the very end, the restart tick box is missing! so it doesn't actually uninstall. Nor does the repair option work when I run the installation again.

    Any ideas?

    TIA

If you manually restart the computer it should do the same thing as allowing the installer to restart.

What version of AVG Free are you using?
