    Hi,

Just want to say keep a good eye on developments at 120 hours. Seems a rather potent cold spell may develope. The models seem to be in gradual upgrade mode. Already looks like some snow for Scotland. Temperatures really plummeting back to mid - high single figures. Sub zero night time temps forcast with frost.

    Wrap up well!

    More later.

I would tend not believe it will get too cold.

Nothing too unsettled looks likely, High Pressure to dominate, upper air temps will indeed be much cooler and there may be some frosts but days will likely be nice with temps probably reaching 12/14c ;)

Yeah it seems so unfair, the temps now are just fine!!
That said when I lived in Dalkey many years ago I remember a heavy shower in May that snowed so heavy it actually was settling before it died away and the sun came back out again.

It just seems wrong now to go back to 10-12C maxes!!

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Ditto,I remember that one too,It didnt settle where i lived at the time.Massive flakes with the sun that strong poking through the clouds and illuminating the flakes brillo sight.I also remember my primative weather station showing 7c.Must have been some viciously low dew points. When was that late 80s early 90s?

Well in April anything is possible still.I just hope of a return to more settled weather (with the odd TS of course)Have gotten use to the sun.

I remember back in 1986 during my primary school years being in school one morning all excited about my summer holidays coming up, this first week of June and there was a 5 minute snow shower, big flakes and all around 9.30am after an unusually cold night.

Darkman if those charts come off what kind of night temps are we talking about in the east?

A good 12 or 13C down on what we have now. It looks short lived but, as with most northerlies, they end with HP briefly and then the Atlantic comes back.

On paper, yes. But if you look at everyone out swearing it was the middle of summer then the merest whiff of a 6/7 degree change in temp will send them un-moth-balling their snorkels.

We'll all be dying of colds this time next week.
