Does anyone know what song they play on the Halo: Reach ad that's on these days? It sounds kind of classical with a woman humming or something.

    Here ya go

Now mine. It's bugging me all weekend:
Comedy Central's ad for the new season of Two and a Half Men?

Sounds like an 80s hair metal band. Piano/Synth intro

I was listening to Phantom really late last night/early this morning and they were playing a version of Blood Buzz Ohio by The National, only I'm pretty sure it wasn't them. It was one guy singing over a little bit of acoustic guitar.
Any one got any ideas of who it was?

Nope, not that one. It was a bit slower and was literally only a guitar very quiet in the background.
    Thanks though.

That could be it. I thought I knew the voice but couldn't place it.

Do you know if it's available anywhere? Even just for streaming?

Heard a great tune on the radio this morning, didn't catch the name of it. The last line of it went "This is celestial".

I'll be very impressed if anyone finds it, because I can't.

I tweeted him there and asked him about it. He said there's been a few people asking about it and he's trying to get an MP3 copy of it to make it available.

    hi all

For anyone out there that really likes a challenge

Trying to find the name and artist of an instrumental piece I had on tape years ago.

    here are your clues

    1. there are only two instruments used (won't even try to guess what they were!)
    2. one is softer than the other but female had a lovely high pitch (female and male roles)
    3. its arranged like they are lovers talking to each other (he goes, then she responds)
    4. they have a big row and it gets very sad

    5. It was on a compilation album back in the early nineties (?), The
albatross was on the same one, it was mix of lyrics and instrumentals, mostly soppy kind of stuff...

It used to be played on 2FM on and off back then.

Cheers folks, i know this is a really long shot!!
    Thanks Esk

Anone know the name of the song in the Cours light ad on tv at the minute?

  • Registered Users Posts: 128 ✭✭nehemiah

Song on possibly a water ad that is a rip-off of Sigur Ros - Hoppibola. Even just what ad it is would be appreciated.

The second one is the girl that won that Must Be The Music programme on Sky One the other week.

While I'm here, I saw a video on Kiss the other day, it was a white guy kind of rapping, English I think, and in the video there was a load of people running away and jumping off the end of a little pier. Anyone know who it is?

Does anybody know the song from the adverts for the new series of CSI on Living TV. It's a slow song, it sounds similar to johnny cash's hurt ( i think! )

    Thanks.

Hmm...Lilly Was Here by Candy Dulfer & Dave Stewart by any chance?
Only piece I can think of that ticks (most of) the boxes.

I don't think so. It was a piano tune that sounded very similar to Sigur Ros but wasn't. It came to my mind after Sigur Ros posted a note on their website about advertisers stealing their musical style but changing the songs slightly.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wWOYbp-iMA&feature=player_embedded

    Similar...but different!
