I've been searching for the last hour for this!
I can't remember the song but I think it was a dance song, late 90's early 00's, the video had a lot of Indian dancing in it, colourful dresses and that, I'm sorry I can't remember more, but it was pretty famous.
    Thanks in advance

There's a new vodafone ad for smartfones which has a great piece of music to it. I've heard it before but can put a name on it.
There's a video of it at the link below.

I don't think so. It was a piano tune that sounded very similar to Sigur Ros but wasn't. It came to my mind after Sigur Ros posted a note on their website about advertisers stealing their musical style but changing the songs slightly.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about

    Similar...but different!

    Found it!!!

There was a Comfort ad on during X Factor tonight with a song being played on a guitar (I think). I have therefore no lyrics to Google and what I think are the right lyrics aren't getting me anywhere. Anybody know the tune? It's like something to do with hands I think. "Put your hands up" or "lay your hands" are what's coming to mind but as I said Google ain't helping. :)

Right, I heard a song played on 96fm or Redfm at 5.30am ish last Sunday. I can't remember the name of it, and it is driving me crazy. Actually I can't even remember a single lyric

It was a Pop song, probarly a few months old at this stage and it wasn't the first time I'd have heard it. Anyway the general jist of it was that some girl had been hurt previously by men, but this guy (singer) wasn't going to hurt her, and how he was predjuiced from the start...

If anybody can think of any suggestions from that I would be very grateful.

    I'd say that's "Good One" by Fred . . .

I can't find any of the ads on Youtube, but I was wondering if anybody knew off the top of their heads what the music on Channel 4's promos for The Event? Incredibly generic show name doesn't help...

It puts me in mind of Thom Yorke's solo stuff, but I don't recognise it precisely.

Anyone know the song they played when Noel the dog died in this series?

Hi folks - heard an Irish indie single a few times earlier this year. Called something like "Carnival" (or "Carousel" or "Fairground", you get the drift) and by a band beginning with V, I think. Assumed it was the Villagers, but it's not on their album and I can't find anything when I google it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Now lads, here's a really hard one... Heard it on Premiership Years there this morning.

Bloody voiceover keeps me from hearing the lyrics!

I'll be forever indebted if anyone knows it, it starts at 53.08 on this video... sounds kinda britpop-ey.

Saw that ad last night...didn't reccy the song but it sounded a bill like José Gonzalez siging and that type of guitar style. Could be wrong though.

This has being driving me bonkers for so long, I've actually being trying to find this piece of music for years.
It starts of with a piano with falling chords d# c g would be an idea of how it sounds(obviously wouldn't be the correct notes!) and then violin interludes with long rising and falling chords. It's used in documentaries or RL stories, at poignant moments...

I know this is totally vague, and it sounds like classical music but I'm pretty sure it's a contemporary piece. Thanks!!
