A quick google tells me this
    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080423112722AAg0vpG

"the song was called "Changing Man" and was performed by Steve McNerney and Changing Man (the group name, apparently) and was published by Notting Hill music. It looks like the song appears on a 1997 CD called "She's a Funny Bloke"

Bit of a vague one here.

Heard a sort of dancey tune with a good bit of guitar in it. The vocalist sounds identical to James Walsh from Starsailor but I can't find anything linking him to a solo project or even a collaboration. It's definitely very recent.

I've never used this thread before but this is driving me absolutely nuts.

This is a tv advert song and I think its on BBC, it begins slowly with a spoken word sort of rap which is about 8 lines of rhyme long ending with "you wont believe what your eyes will perceive" and then explodes into something that sounds like "click, click *BOOM*" but isnt it..)

Can anyone put me out of my misery??

    DeV.

    Hi Folks,

Having searched through the site for the past 40 minutes or so, I'm still no closer to discovering a song which I seen posted here around 8 months ago or so.

The song was about a man who lost his wife. He could see her one last time if he vowed to spend eternity at a lighthouse or something along those lines. I believe he was then tossing up whether it was worth seeing her one last time for eternal loneliness.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like "The light at the end of the world" by My Dying Bride.

Moving to Music and merging with the What's That Song thread in there.

I was listening to colm and jim jim in the car on Christmas morning about noon and heard a song about Christmas shopping in a petrol station. For some reason the name of the song or singer has been completely blanked from my mind. Can anyone help me?

As far as I know the singer is english with a vibe like the streets.

It's a repetative instrumental with a guitar (sounds like a kazoo) that goes like doo do do Doooo - do do Doooo - do do do.... (very vague but the best i can do)................ Also, what's Ray Foley's theme from his show before he got pro jingles made?

hi, this has been wrecking my head for ages . . there is a overlay song on a newstalk 106 barack obama montage at the moment, i can hardly pick up any of the lyrics bit I think "it's a beautiful day" is in the chorus, I also heard it on the telly on that program called Secret Millionaire as another overlay song. The song has a big string section in it as well (heavy on violins) . . thanks

Thought I'd post on the off chance someone here might be able to help. There was this song out a little while ago, only ever saw it on late night on channel 6 I think.
It was a female trio with a very kind of 60's style, the video was them preforming at like a house party and running out at the end I think.

Apologies for the vagueness but if anyone can help its you guys :)
