My description will be too vague but I can't get this song out of my head.

In the video there is this priest, and he's healing people or something. (He's putting his hands on theirheads and like exorcising them) He had glasses on a purple scarf thing and he has a cross around his neck.

Anyways in one part of the video this guy decides to escape because he realises they are all being kept prisoner. So he smashes the window and then this womencomes up to him and presumably tells him to take her daughter too (her daughter is like 18) then they escape.

It's but placebo, interpol or incubus or someone like that.

It's an awesome song too.:o

OK, crisis averted.
After further searching, it's a guy called Jack Penate.

Edit2: Interestingly, Bloc Party and your man have worked with the same producer apparently- probably explaining my suspicion.

Looking for the name of these songs whuch start off with a sample quote from a movie then plays the song after, like a quote from ghostbuster then song from the dance scen in pulp fiction. Sorry if I am not making myself clear.

I think it is called the intense power hour with movie quotes. I heard it in Urban Outfitters in Scotland. Can't find it anywhere on the net though.

They're playing the Girl Talk album in the UO now, and that sounds right for movie quotes...maybe check that?
