Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Fastforward 24 Hour Film festival took place this weekend and some of us got together and made a film for it. We were given our guidelines for making the film on Friday Evening at 7pm and had to have a completed 3 minute film handed in at 5pm the next day for a 8pm screening of all the entries.

boardsies involved in the production were Blitzkrieg, Goodshape, Jimeatsmenu and monkeyfudge... and a Turkish girl named Shimi.

We won best collaboration prize... photos of the garish trophy I had to carry home will be posted later.

Brilliant. The ending was pretty funny.. "Bonjour".. "Bollox!" I really liked the editing on it, was really smooth!

    Good job everyone.

I loved the kid in the background of one scene.

Yeah... it was like this toddler was left looking after an infant in the street... I didn't see a parent the whole time we were shooting there.

    ahh.. my only line :)

At the screening everyone was too busy laughing at "Bonjour" to hear the "bollox!".

    *sniff*

Props to Blitzkrieg for that. He got the whole thing done in about an hour.

Also, here's the "directors cut" that Blitz put together, featuring an extra scene which we just didn't have time to edit on the day :

thank you that warms my heart. Especially seeing I am on work experiance for editing and any compliment helps build my shattered confidence.

Overall an amazing experiance. One I hope to repeat in June.

I was the voice of all the hats by the way.

Hey... Goodshape... a girl in my office said you looked like Ethan Hawke today... I'm not sure if that's a good thing though.

digging up really old thread today

    BUT

I had two guys in the chipper after the beers tonight come up to me and ask

*Is that the all hat jazz hat?*

    *yeah?*

*Oh we gotta get a photo with it*

-I give them hat they proceed to put hat on head and tilting it up and down mimicking the voice

*We just watched the film last night on youtube it was fantastic*

that really warmed my heart. Made me feel like a sort of celebrity (Ok it was the hat, not me, but the hat goes nowhere without me)

could be my awesome moment of the season.
