I couldnt stream because my desk top is too old it doesnt have that feature , unless i shelled out for a new pc that wasnt an option .

Within 5 mins of turning on my PS3 i had some south park on it .


Im still looking for a feature the PS3 lacks over the xbox the only one i found was the slightly better downloads from xbox live which gave me some south parks i allready have , where as i instantly found a number of feature going the other way .

Well if you'd stated in your initial posts "I dont know how to......."
as opposed to "the 360 can't do......." you'd have met with the response

the 360. Hell my laptop is 2 years old and it does the job flawlessly
- just in case you try and convince people you need a brand new PC.
Here's a workaround for you, and yes you'll need a USB key, USB HDD
or blank CD/DVD, but again that's down to your PC and not a feature lacking
in the 360.

How to watch video on your 360 without streaming (if your PC is a low spec)
Download Super http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
Drop the video clips on your PC into Super and do a batch conversion into WMV
Copy the new WMV files onto your storage device.
Use storage device with 360.

If the above is too much trouble again it's down to your PC spec and not

woo there sailor i never said it couldnt stream ,i said it cant play back video from its hard drive ( bar a tiny amount available on xbox live ) . Which is true .


Ive been left with an old ( an when i say old i mean old Desktop ) since my laptop got stolen , it doesnt have a dvd drive never mind a cd/dvd writter .

Well surely the xbox not having the feature to play back the vids from HD is a feature lacking from the xbox , which is my point the PS3 can do it xbox cant maybe my first post didnt maek that clear but ive since cleared that up .

Now we have covered the vid thing you cant claim streaming to be a resonable equal to watching it off the hard drive as it requires a pc as well .

Its like going to a car sales man he says ive 2 cars this one is 3 grand , this cheaper one is 2 grand but the wheels are extra, the wheels cost 1500 , but the 2nd one is cheaper :eek:

Yea you can but then you can then press triangle and actually copy the south park to your PS3 so its all ways on it , so you can fill up your hard drive with your shows the xbox cant have stuff copied to it .

No its false, the 360 can't store video, stop saying it can't play it video and it can store music. Besides if you don't have a PC how are you going to get video onto the PS3 or even get video.

No its like going to car dealer and there being two cars. A cheap one and one with air conditioning. You don't need the add ons for the 360 like you need wheels.

Your friend gives you a disk with south park on says copy that i need it back if you dont have a pc then what do you do , ye all presume everyone has a pc they can stream or copy from .

So you cant see the difference between wanting to watch south park turning on your ps3 and watchign it , and turning on your xbox turning on your laptop connecting the two up settign up your streaming and then watchign it while running 2 machines .thats not a plus point

No you can play video files of a disk/memstick/HDD/pc as well, you don't use different words just cause of the medium.

Fine how about this the xbox can stream and play back from external devices the ps3 can play back video from its hard drive . flippin hell we are just going around in circles .

To be fair your making alot of invalid points, I like pro evo on the 360?! The 360 also does little things that the ps3 can't... and visa versa, that doesn't make one better than the other. I have both, and find that at the moment I'd prefer have the 360, but only cause it has more games and such, pro evo 7 will be near identical on xbox and ps3, like most games that are on both now anyway.

And thats fair enough and i prefere the ps3 whats the big deal i still think im right on all points and ive yet to be proved wrong . I don t doubt there is stuff the xbox can do that the ps3 cant . i was giving reasons why i would keep the ps3 if i had to get rid of one . i dont so im keeping both and loving them .

I like that i can watch my vids from the hard drive and they go spouting on about streaming as if its the same thing .


I have had every pro evo since its been released 360 version is by far the worst . I play my ps2 pro evo rather than the xbox one the difference is huge .

But you havent really, the only thing you've pointed out thats been 100% right is that the ps3 can play off the HDD, as in you can store your own videos on it, thats it really. Its not a huge amount more if you want wireless and HD-DVD add on (at least you get the option and dont get forced into HD)... if your going by that a premium xbox 360 (no games) with the HD-DVD add on and the wireless adapter wont cost you much more than €630. Most games on 360 if your not lazy are cheaper, and the browser thing is nothing special at all.
