Hi, I'm planning on rendering my inside walls with a mix of 1:1:6 of cement/lime/sand. It's an old house (1930's) so I don't want to just use cement. Want to give it some flexability cause the bricks won't be all that hard. When I'm mixing the lime, I'm guessing its' hydrated lime? And should I soak it for a few days before using it? Some books I've read recommend soaking it. Does it do anything for it? Or is it ok to use it out of the bag?

Or should I use lime putty? Is that really hard to get and hard to work with?

    thanks,
    J

    hi,

The lime doesnt have 2 be soaked. No need for lime putty. Wear gloves when using the plaster....the lime will burn your skin.
