    Hope fades within me
    As your words hit my ears
    Crushing the sentiments
    Acknowledging my fears.
    Like the color from a rainbow
    Whitewashed with gray
    My life feels dejected
    Devoured - mundane.
    Crumpled and torn
    Everything’s lost
    No life in this shell
    Mortal - at what cost?
    Wishing I could escape
    What words won’t allow
    Want to dream a new dream
