Anyone here know how best to troubleshoot a fridge freezer (indesit C1300) which is failing do do anything apart from lght the cabinet! I have tested the temp control switch and it reads open when the switch is off (sounds reasonable) but it reads almost a short at any temp setting. The thing was icing up quite badly before it died so I reckon the switch is faulty and has led to the compressor running far too often, possibly killing it early in its life. Any ideas? Anybody know any good forums for this stuff? Cheers all.

I can log in no problem. Did you click the confirmation link in the email they sent?
