Extremely social, not very challenging but still very interesting, good job prospects.

I'd agree mostly. Not really challenging if you keep on top of the work, it divides in 3rd year (which I'm due to enter next year), letting you further refine to stuff you're good at or interested in.

Job prospects, I know naught of, being only a second year I have yet to seriously look in that direction.

It's very diverse, lots of different subject areas, very interesting, most lectures contain some interesting facts you didn't know before.

As for the social side: by choice, I didn't get very involved with my class, although they do a lot of socialising. I got involved in a few societies instead. Not that the two are mutually exclusive notions of course. I believe the good Kaptain has managed both quite well.

Any more specific questions with regard the degree, subjects in it etc, feel free to ask.

Well, what I meant to say is that because of its small class sizes and the effort of the staff, you get to know everyone in your class pretty quickly, which i hear isnt the csae in other courses.

Many of the people you'd be studying with are quite ambitious and tend to get very invovled with societies, clubs, the students union, networking in short.

Typically I think its a 17hr week, with a very small chance of fridays

commerce is pretty sweet.....it's easy going......there is very little new stuff i think as I did business and accountancy at the LC. plus...small class sizes allow you to get to know your class easily!! like im in first year and you actually need to go to very few lectures at all!! plenty of time to be drinking in the middle of the day :)

Couldn't have put it better. The standard class size of around 40-50 means you get to know everyone pretty well making it far more sociable than Arts and others. Subjects are easy enough, and some are pretty good (Marketing, Applied Business Competencies, some law ones)

Also, there's the exchange program that's run in the 2nd semester of 2nd year - I'm in Sydney right now having the time of my life. I <3 Quinn

All of the above - BComm and Quinn are great - but like many prospective BComms, don't disregard Business & Legal Studies unless you're sure the law thing isn't for you. It's an unbelieveable degree and many other people in Quinn doing other degress (myself included, I'm a 3rd Year BComm Intl student on exchange in Germany right now) wish they were in it.

^I concur. The few legal subjects I've done as part of my Bcomm have all been absolutely excellent in terms of course content and lecturers so I'm pretty sure Business & Legal Studies would be very good.

That would be Business and Law under DN021 in the CAO system.
