Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

eircom line voltages

    Hi,

    Would anyone be able to clarify some details on eircom line voltages for me:-

    What is the line voltage on pstn line (50v or 24v I heard there are two different types) 50v I was aware of, but do some types of lines work of 24v line voltage (lines that connectr to a pbx)

    Also, what is the ringing voltage. My understaning was it was 75vac, but I have been told 45v also.

    Want to connect an ata, and one of those gsm adapters to a pbx external trunk, so just want to make sure I have my facts right.

    From what I know, there is only one "type" of PSTN line supplied by eircom. 54 Volts DC is on any phone line. And an ordinary analogue pbx would be connected with ordinary lines I believe. I've never heard of any ringing voltage other than the 75 volt ac signal.

    But mabye someone can add some extra weight behind this? I don't work in the field.

    Just plug it in.. Once its an analogue external CO line .. you shouldnt have a problem...
