Start watching Bleach at around episode 110, it starts to get really ****ing good then...
another vote for Eureka seven, that's definitely on my list of shows that I'll watch again.

and the third episode of the Hellsing OVA came out the other week, the first 2 were great so I'm looking forward to watching that one tonight

Check out D.gray man. Animation is alot like FMA but fight scenes arent as good as bleach or naruto. Its on episode 30 at the moment and worth checking out. Im guessing you already know about full metal alchemist otherwise it should be next on your list!

Bokurano looks like it'll be something special. Darker than Black too.
Hayate no Gotoku is another you might wanna take a look at; it's one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time.

Seen first ep of darker than black and thought it was really good...just waiting to get hold of the next four eps!

i watched the first eps of darker than black and hayate no gotoku yesterday. d.t.b. seems ok, i found it slightly reminiscent of witch hunter robin.

hayate is class, i love the self-referential jokes. it's a pity that there are only 6 eps.

I find the lack of Code Geass disturbing.

    And Hellsing Ultimate.

i watched ep1 of code geass: lelouch of the rebellion earlier. it gets better does it? its not that it seemed crap, its just that it seems like a lot of other anime that has been out in the last year.

If you like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, check Lucky Star out- on episode eight now methinks.

I just don't get Lucky Star. It's like Azumanga, but it's not... I just don't get it. Will keep watching though.

Hellsing Ultimate bored the hell out of me -- watch Murder Princess instead. It's a proper OVA ;)

Hayate no Gotokou (Hayate the Combat Butler) is a lovely, funny series -- I'll recommend it too.
Tengen Toppa: Gurren Lagann is awesome. Watch it for pure mech awesomeness.

Oh, and... avoid Happiness. It's the most god-awful show I've ever seen. EVER.

Current shows this season (spring) that are pretty good:

    Bokurano
    Claymore
    Darker Than Black
    Dennou Coil
    Hayate no Gotoku
    Heroic Age
    Lovely Complex
    Murder Princess
Seirei no Moribito (Guardian of the Sacred Spirit)
    Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
    The Skull Man
    Toward The Terra

Some other shows this season (I either dislike or don't know much about):

    Lucky Star
    El Cazador de la Bruja
    Nagasarete Airantou
    Touka Gettan
    iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia
    sola
    Tokyo Tribe 2
    Shining Tears X Wind
    Nodame Cantabile
    Hidamari Sketch
    OverDrive
    Sisters of Wellber
    Moonlight Mile

There's a few others, but as you can see it's quite a busy season :)

I have to admit, I didn't like the first episode- rather snooze-worthy!
But I'm glad I stuck to it- Konata amuses the hell out of me. Like all the references too. :p
