Can i host a sub domain with a different company ?

    Hi,

    Im doing work on a website that is php/mySQL.

    The work ill be doing is completly separate from the site and i want to use asp.net and SQL Server. The work that i do will be published as something like forms.website.ie

    Im wondering if we can purchase windows hosting for forms.website.ie that is with a different company than the current site www.website.ie ?

    Yes you can. You will use one hosting package for the DNS (or you could use a company just for the DNS) and create an A record for the domain name to point the subdomain to a different IP address. I'm sure more will come on and correct me if I am wrong and give more details.
