Right, the sun is shining and I'm off out the door in 20 mins for a 4pm tee-time on the Palmer course in the K-Club!! A freebie too.

Does it get any better? I better play well.

Well, what can I say? Got to the K in plenty of time to have a coffee before heading to the 1st tee for our 4pm start. Wandered over at 3:50 and started buttering up the starter so that he would let us play off the white markers. He could have let us go early (we were a 3-ball) but chose to make us wait our turn. What a mistake...

Justin "Trouser snake" Timberlake and his entourage arrived a couple of minutes late from the practice range and were sent out ahead of us. I've played behind some slow groups in my time but these guys took the biscuit. They were slllllloooooooooowwwwww. After one hour we had made the 3rd green. :eek:

We were determined not to let this take from our enjoyment of the round but it was hard not to. With no sign of a ranger around it took us 2 hrs 40 minutes for the first 9 holes, even though we gave them a couple of shouts of "fore" when they were fannying around on the green. Timberlake eye-balled me on two occasions as he was leaving the tee and i was walking onto the green he had just some off. I just stared back. (My money is as good yours mate....even though you may have more of it).

Halfway down the 10th hole, with TL's entourage flying all round the place in buggies, the K's female pro approached us and asked how were enjoying the game. After an honest reply from ourselves, fair play to her, she went straight over to TL's group and told them to stand back and let us through. To say Justin was not happy is an understatement. Cue eyeball from me fein as I walk by with a smile on my face.

Noticed an article n one of the rags today were it said TL was hoping to play in a couple of pro events on the PGA circuit in the next couple of years. Don't make me laugh. The guy has a decent swing, and is obviously getting lessons, but was short on every hole and I don't think I saw him get down in two once in the entire 10 holes we were behind him, and saw him miss greens way left and right on a couple of occasions.

Sorry about the rant but these celebs really think they own the place.

he was over in st andrews there on wednesday. what a f_ucking asshole. he had to leave the course after about 7 or 8 holes because there was a large group of girls wandering the course looking to lynch him. one of the greens keepers told me he was playing off 6, he had to escort him off the course!!!!

played the new course on thursday and shot 86. was pretty happy with that. only ended up in one bunker over 18. played old course on friday and shot 102. was in a bunker on virtually hole. near impossible to get out of.

saying that really enjoyed the couple of days golf. would recommend it
