Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's the hardware compatibility problems. All those people who've bought cameras, mp3 players and other peripherals over the last five years would have no idea how to go and get new drivers for Vista.

Yea. Plus despite what Microsoft would like people to believe, there's really no killer reason to upgrade to Vista yet anyway. They've also overdone it with the number of different versions I think. Add to that that a lot of fairly new printers and other such "standard" hardware doesn't work with it yet, and it's no wonder a lot of people don't want this upgrade forced on them.

Most of their business customers won't be upgrading till post-SP1 either I reckon which has to be at least a year away. I certainly don't (as an IT manager) plan to roll it out any earlier than that.

Despite what Microsoft say in that article, if DELL have started selling XP again, it's a serious concern. Expect to see other manufacturers follow suit, and the OEM licenses extended past January 2008.
