The thread went along the lines of

The problem wasn't the advice you gave, it's that you went on an abusive rant giving it. Everyone else was able to give advice in a civil manner.

I think a few people have tried to give reasonable opinions and advice to you, you just don't want to listen. You haven't really got a 'defence'. Why not move along and learn from the experience? Or not? Either way this thread isn't getting anyone anywhere. Although for some reason I can't take my eyes of it.

Icequeen, can I ask you that if you overheard people making similar jokes in real life in a pub or in a restaurant or wherever, would you react in the same aggressive manner? Do you think people around you would applaud because you did? Now imagine you did it in a much more reasonable and appropriate manner. Which do you think would get the best results?

If you have a problem with people do you call them names? What happens if someone gets your order wrong when you order food? What if someone accidentally bumps into you on the street? I doubt it. So what makes it OK for you to insult people here?
