Masters in Australia

I'm thinking about trying to do a postgrad in Australia (graduating in June 2008... hopefully). I've been having a look at some websites, but I cant seem to find any kind of centralised website that details postgrad courses available in different universities. Also, I don't really have any idea of which universitiies would specialise in different subjects - a lot of the ones I've seen so far seem to be very IT/engineering (especially bio-eng) orientated, but I'm looking to do a finance/economics/mathematics postgrad (probably a one year full time masters).

Any recommendations on good Universities/websites to check out?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    good day,

i did my bachelor of science (hons) in university of melbourne and just started my postgrad in ireland now. no, i am not an irish or australian.

you could try http://www.idp.com/. there isnt a branch in ireland but the information online would be adequate to start with.

for postgrad studies, we tend look at the research areas rather than the "reputation" of the institutes. if you're concerned of the university ranking, http://www.australian-universities.com/rankings/.
different websites of university ranking based different factors like the ratio of academics:students, number of foreign students and funding. damn my university has dropped to the second :(

try looking up the journals published by the groups in the universities. they have the links in their homepages. choose an area that interests you.

    cheers.

ps you would have heaps of fun in australia :)
