Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for feedback on the Nokia 6288 or similar model

I need a new fone badly, and am considering the 6288 as in the link below.

Anyone got one of these and have any advice. Have they a good screen, good camera? Are the buttons nice to use or are they really soft. Is it a handy fone to use in general.

Im not really into fones, just want a decent yoke to be user-friendly, i want something thats handy to text with, and not awkward with crap buttons and crap menus that turn the simple act of typing a txt into a frustrating event. I hate fones with buttons too close together.

Im currently an O2 speakeasy but dont see this fone on their site? Ill prob buy it off ebay anyway.

Is there a similar model I should consider? I like the 8850 Sirocco but its way too much for a fone, I dont wanna pay more than E150ish for a fone.

I'm sure you'll get a few other opinions on this but I would suggest popping into a Vodafone or 3 store and ask to see the Nokia 6280 (basically the same phone). Another phone to keep in mind if you don't like the slider is the Nokia 6233/6234 which has the same features and software, it's just not a slider.

I've used both the Nokia 6280 and the Nokia 6233. They're easy to use, simple menu system, and most operations on the phone are very quick (phonebook, text messages, etc). The camera is pretty good too.

Compared to the 6233 the screen is bigger on the 6288, and I think it's got a flash. Those would be about the only two major differences apart from the obvious slider/bar difference. They've both got s40 interface, the latest one afaik. The 6280 had one of the first s40 versions, with a few bugs, I think the 6288 go that cleared up.

I LOVE the buttons on my 6233, and I liked the buttons on the 6280, only problem was the cancel/delete button was too far away while textings. Other than that, both are smashing phones. Get whichever you can afford.

That ebay phone is a great price.I would say go for a n80 if you have the extra cash if not then 6280/6288 are really good too.
