Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I have always used a mobile supplied by the company I work for so I have never had my own phone. I am leaving soon and I am about to get a new unlocked Sony-Ericsson w810i.

If I buy a sim-pack for this phone Is there any way a network they can lock my phone to their network. Is this something I should look out for?

Thanks in advance for any help.

the phone is probably locked to the network as it is so you'll need to contact the network for an unlocking code, youll need the imei number of the phone which is either under the battery or you can get it by dialling *#06# into the handset, depending on what network and what phone it is the unlock codes can vary in how long theyll get them to you, might be instantly if its a nokia a few days if its sony or motorola

The original post said a new *unlocked* phone, so I assume they mean its already unlocked.

The answer is no, a network isnt capable of doing it,
