(Apologies for the Q at the start - my computer is an idiot.)

Rightio. Just to let you all know!

Tomorrow (Monday), from 7pm, there's going to be a 24 Hour Debate taking place along the streets of Cork, all in aid of the Alzheimers Society of Ireland, run by members of the UCC Philosophical Society.
It's going to take place at a number of locations in the city.
From 7pm - 10pm: G1 in the Kane Building of UCC
From 10pm - 4am: Emmet Place (by the Opera House)
From 4am - 10am: Daunt Square (by Virgin Megastore)
    From 10am - 4pm: Outside Brown Thomas
    From 4pm - 7pm: Back to G1 to close.

Collections for the Alzheimers Society will be taking place while the debate is taking place at Brown Thomas and UCC. There is no set motion for the debate, which means that anybody at all can take the stage and talk about any issue that may affect them. Famous faces such as former Lord Mayor Deirdre Clune and Green Party TD Dan Boyle will also be in attendance for part of the debate.
The debate has been entirely student-organised and it has taken a lot of effort and hard work to put it all together. So, if you're out and about in Cork between 7pm Monday and 7pm Tuesday, this might interest you!!

Well, the debate was a massive success, even with all the f****ng rain!! Deirdre Clune and Dan Boyle all showed up and spoke for a while. Many thanks if anyone showed up for support.
€2,070 was raised for the Alzheimers Society and represented a massive achievement on behalf of the UCC Philosoph Society.
    so thanks again!!
