Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hair highlighting question

    Hi,
I've been using semi permanent dyes in my hair for the last couple of years, (loreal castings, colour: light brown), which always comes out much darker!

My question is does this mean that I can't get highlights?

I know this was the case years ago when I tried to get highlights. I had to let the semi permanent colour grow out before they would do it for me.
this is not an option for me this time as I have a fair few greys that I just couldn't live with.

Generally not, no. Some colours don't lift well though, meaning the highlights won't take. In that case, the hardresser probably won't do it for you. I always vary between dying my hair brown myself, with permanent home dyes, and getting blonde highlights in the hairdressers.

Go to a couple of different salons and get some consultations. Most places will do them for free.
