Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm not sure what you mean...

Do you mean when you open Word from the Start Menu or desktop, or when you open your document? If its when you open your document, did you save your document at any time?

Sorry when I open Word from desktop, rather than a blank Word document opening, this file opens instead as Document1.

Search you machine for Normal.dot and either rename it or delete it.
You'll find one per user on the machine:

    C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\

    Fire up word.

(Note: Any autotext you've entered is saved in the normal template)

Oh yeah, it's a hidden file.

in Windows Explorer...."Tools/Folder Options/View/Show Hidden Files & Folders"

Search again and you should see it.

Word will re-create it once you rename/delete it.

You'll have to replace *user* with the name of your user account.

Failing that, do a search for Normal.doc and ensure to check for hidden files and folders. Then delete the file. Word will recreate a new default one when you restart it.
