Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

    I have a peugeot vivacity 50cc '03. 28k on the clock

It was my first bike and great commuter as it added a couple of years worth of free time to my life which would've otherwise been spent crammed onto some sort of public transport.

Now alas I fear it has reached the end of the road with mechanical problems I dont know how to handle basically the engine starts but the drive mechanism isn't working I've been maintaining it myself with the aid of my fathers mechanical knowledge to keep labour costs down.

But this time I think we have a major problem that's going to cost allot to fix so my dilemma is this should I pay for someone who knows the bike to fix it and then try and trade it in for a new bike or should I scrap it and if so does anybody know anywhere I could get some money for my trusty steed.

either way I want to change this bike as I need a bigger bike to cope with greater distances etc.

might be worth advertising as suitable for parts - there might be another vivacity owner out there in a similar dilemma, but your's might fix it. Or you could do same........

That's how you end up 'collecting' motorbikes, though...........;)

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

For anybody who may be interested I scrapped the bike with Cityspares in Dublin, they came and collected it.
