Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I want to get rid of these files from the server completely. How do I find out though what to move? I was thinking a search for last modified but that won't actually tell me whether people are reading them or not.

People only use tape because they haven't anything better.
In 7 years time how will you restore those tapes ????

Back the files up to at least three IDE / SATA hard drives and store them in three locations. Every year or two copy the drive to a larger drive and add new files. Easy to do and can restore using any PC.

Better still leave the files where they are, and upgrade the storage on the server. Find out how long you need to keep the data for and set your data size accordingly. Move the files to a read only folder, you don't need to back them up every night.
