    ...on a 2000 Audi TT ?

Saw one at the weekend, and I was a bit dubious about the reg. It's a Polish reg, and seems to wear a personal plate. Thing is, this plate was on a different colour TT a while ago........mmmmmmmm

So, I get nosey.....no visible VIN inside windscreen. Shouldn't all cars of that Vintage have visible VIN no's on the windscreen, at bottom l.h. corner (from inside) ? Both my TT's did.......

Just wondering........having people driving around VRT, Tax and Ins free, really, really pisses me off..........but if the car is ringed then I'm not standing for it..........someone could be out a car, somewhere......

AFAIK, there was no legal requirement to have the VIN displayed on the windscreen in 2000. Although some manufacturers did display it there - but not all.

EDIT - as it's Polish - it's most likely that there was no requirement in Poland at the time - especially as they were subject to EU regulations back then.

It wouldn't surprise me - there are so many things that are manufactured differently because of different rules & regulations in the many different markets that Audi would sell into.
