Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,
Got a new pc in work and have been asked to try and break it basically.
Everything is disabled, address bar, right click, start button everything.
It is a webiste that is going to be used by the public so we want to avoid any interference.
Anybody got any ideas how to mess it up?
    Cheers.

Ugh. I'd really need to be sitting at it to work at it.

Keyboard shortcuts may be your friend.

tried shortcuts, although most of the ones I tried where using the windows key (which is disabled).
    Cheers.

Microsoft has a Shared Computer Toolkit available from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sharedaccess/default.mspx for free. Using something like this might be more likely to cover all the potential gaps than trying to do it yourself.

Is the Run Command disabled?? If you know enough the keyboard shortcuts you can get around a lot of things not being there.. Also is there a way to access the ports in the back and if you can you can have loads of fun with serial connections

Will the public have access to anything other than the keyboard and mouse.
    autorun on USB / CD
boot floppy to reset admin pw
if public can get to a network port on the LAN then lots more

http://whatismyip.org on the off chance it's not going behind a firewall

there are probably a load of web sites out there that have exploits /scripts, a surfer could go there - can a java app emulate the windows key ?
