In the UK consumers are able to claim back ALL charges the bank charged them over the previoyus 6 months. This was due to a ruling by the Office of Fait Trading.

Does anyone know if this only applies to the UK or can it be done here also? Also has anyone tried it here and what was the result?

You can't claim back "ALL" charges in the UK - only penalty charges (unauthorised overdrafts etc).

AFAIK it doesn't apply in Ireland, I don't believe there was been a case here to set the precedent.

Doesn't Eddie give seminars to the banks ? Doubt he'd bite the hand...
