Subscriptionable CMS?

    A friend of mine wants to make a soft-core porn site in the US and was asking my opinion on doing so. I thought the best thing to do would be to get a CMS like joomla that had a subscription plugin/component where users can pay for time/downloads.

    I looked into AEC for joomla, and believe it needs something called JASC to work. I also understand that there may be some new system coming soon that is a purchasable subscription service - link.

    Are there any other options out there that are available as packages or would this direction be the way to go do you think? Or, does anyone know of a good soft-core porn cms?! :)

    Actually, I'm just thinking now that maybe an image gallery with a subscription plugin would be the way to go. I'm not so up on image galleries' plugins, is this type of thing possible with Gallery2 or Coppermine?

    i dunno if this helps but aMember (is not free thou) can be useful to subscription based websites.

    Well having this kind of feature means you own your own content, which is another story. The online porn content business works with affiliate kind of things, and it only means you get whatever content they want to give you (Such as 15sec lenght video previews) and you link to them to get your commissions.

    Unless you do own the content (Video, pictures) there is absolulty no point of making the kind of system you were speaking about.

    Alright cool. It is easier to enter the porn industry this way, affiliate programs are much more difficult to make money.

    ive got a a spare basement for video shoots if need:)

    And you need a cc processor to process the payments and im sure they actually provide you with tools for member management

    and you'l have to go through them because payment systems like paypal and moneybooker the like etc. will gladly freeze your account if its from adult content
    Some hard digital currencys like e-gold will allow it
