Ive been grinding my teeth badly now for a while. I know you can get mouthguard things for it but do you have to go to the dentist or can you just pick one up somewhere? Are they expensive?

I wouldn't think so. It's a bit of plasticy stuff like, and everybody playing rugby buys them.

An ordinary rugby mouthguard may stop tooth erosion, but it will not solve the problem

I had a similar problem about 2 years ago - i saw my dentist who sent me to a specialist who made me a splint for my mouth.

I wore this, just inbed for about 6 months and roberts your father's brother: Fixed.

The reason people grind in their sleep is due to anxiety: not just stress from work etc... but even playing rugby etc - once an excess amount of the stress hormone is in your blood, it has to be worked out - and this is why your body grinds your teeth.

Is there a chance that you might swallow and choke on it? I use a mouthguard in taekwondo sparring, but would be reluctant to sleep with it.

It's far too big to swallow. :)
It is because you are anxious usually.
