How far off his line was reina for that first save. IIRC dida got pulled up for the same thing in the final against liverpool 2 years ago while reina also got away with it that time too. even ray liverpool fan houghton mentioned it.

I dunno about anyone else but for the penos I ws on my feet, walking round this way, then that putting my fingers in my ears (which never works) closing my eyes then opening them again just as the ball was about to be struck.

4 first class shots, as was pointed out by Dunphy Liverpool had more dead ball shooters than Chelsea indeed I'd give all of them a shot except Carra maybe!

I belive Liverpool have only lost one peno shootout.

Well done to Liverpool. I thought they deserved to win it on the basis of their overall play, they were better than Chelsea IMO.

The shoot-out was brilliant. The chelsea players seemed very nervous of it, especially geremi and Robben who both turned their backs to the ball before striking it.

Again, well done Liverpool.

I think the whole difference between RTE and other stations is clear tonight.
Instead of hearing Dunphy moan on, on ITV we heard interviews from Rafa, Mourinho, and Gerrard/Kuyt/Reina.
On Dunphy, we hear negativity negativity negativity.

Not really. i remember when dida was pulled on it he didn't go off his line again before a peno. if you did it once, it would make the keepers think before they do it. otherwise whats the point of the linesman standing there?

Before the match RTE completely missed a brilliant rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone as the players assembled in the tunnel and the three wise men were allowed to ramble on.

I dunno, they all come off the line, it's just a matter of how much. none of them ever stay on the line.

Would be happy enough if they clamped down on it all season, but they generally let it go so why start in the semi final of champs league? next they'll be giving penos for pulling shirts at corners, there would have been 20 tonight!

Fair play to Liverpool, by far the best team on the night. Jose told us lies when he said "Of course we will attack". Pretty poor match, scrappy and niggly (Over 50 fouls :eek: ) but undeniably tense.

Hopefully United can join Pool in the final tomorrow night.
