Vista will not run my games

Hi guys,
Got a new PC with Vista OS. I'm not much of a gamer but I did recently buy 2 games, The godfather and FIFA 06. These would not install on vista. GAME would not take them back as I opened them.
My question is, can I download XP in remote mode to run these games. As in have an icon on vista to run XP. I have similar in work, but don't know how it is done.
Alternatively, DOes anyone know how to run these games on Vista. Any patches out etc.

It is also the likely hood the PC maker did not install the graphics card drivers and left the stock ones in place which are no good for games.

What make graphics card is in the PC ?

To find out go into the control panel\system\device manager and look under display adapters section.

Hi, Tried compatibility mode, but no luck.
The graphics card I have is 256MB nVidia GeForce.

Run it as administrator? sorry if thats spelt wrong..

I presume it is a GeForce 6/7 class card so install the drivers from the link below

{If you don't have one of those GPU's from above then download this file and drop it into the folder the NVIDIA drivers extract to \NVIDIA\158.18 and run the setup.exe within the folder and it will install the driver.}
