Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

With the Electric Picnic having a brutal line-up this year and Oxy**n being full of knackers therefore making it a no go it's a big disappointment but this looks good, was anyone at this last year?Fu*k me it's been quite sometime since ive been to Portrush, Kelly's was up there with the best clubs in Ireland at one time.

May well get a ticket for this soon.:)

Id consider going to the Garden party this year aswell. Really good venue, good line-up with the likes of Vitalic, Carl cox, Hot chip and the Pet Shop Boys.
They enforce a strict No-knacker policy and with a maximum capacity of only 8'000 its still like what EP used to be.

It still is the best club in the Country. Most consistant line-up, best atmosphere and amazing sound systems = Best club on this Island.

Basement Jaxx were ****ing terrible at last year's EP, i'd sooner chew on rusty staples than go to a gig the opposite end of the island with them being the only act announced...

Garden Party or Life Festival

Thats great to know, I'm all in favour of weeking out the scum, but how exactly do they enfore a "No Nacker Policy"? If someone has bought a ticket, can they refuse them just cause they look/sound/smell like a scumbag?

Every band has an off day, they weren't great at the EP but they were..t THAT bad, they redeemed themselves at the Point though last November and IMO are still one of the top acts it there so ill definitely be heading to this.

They don't refuse anyone, unless your off your head before you go in, last year was its first year and it was pretty good, there was no trouble at all, only one fight in the full day!

Madchester legends Happy Mondays and Britain's best-loved dance DJ Pete Tong are today announced as the main supports to Basement Jaxx for The Beach party 2007 at Portrush's East Strand on 30 June. Scratch Perverts, Datarock and Alloy Mental have also been added to the billing. With a promise of more still to be announced by the organisers, The Beach Party 2007 is shaping up to be one truly remarkable day out.
Happy Mondays are one of Britain's best loved bands and this exclusive Northern Ireland appearance has been a long time coming. Shaun Ryder has been in and out of the public eye over the years, working with his own Black Grape among others and recently featured on the Gorillaz number one hit 'Dare' and toured with them. Meanwhile Bez won over the hearts of the nation by winning Celebrity Big Brother in 2005. The hit movie 24 Hour Party People retold the story of a very special time in Manchester. Together again live, Happy Mondays has just appeared at the venerated Coachella Music Festival near Los Angeles (minus a visa-less Bez), and a UK tour follows. The band also return to the recording world this summer with their first new set since 1992, the album being produced by US hiphop producer Sunny Levine and mixed by Bjork and U2 producer Howie B.
BBC Radio 1's <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_Radio_1> Pete Tong is known worldwide by fans of electronic music <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_music> for hosting programs such as Essential Mix <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_Mix> and Essential Selection <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_Selection> on radio, as a record producer, and for his record label FFRR Records <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FFRR_Records> . He is renowned for his own performances at nightclubs <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightclub> and festivals across the globe.
Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts and Plus One are the Scratch Perverts - a name that has become synonymous with HipHop and battle DJing ever since their formation in 1996. For The Beach Party 2007 they perform together on 6 decks. Their reputation as one of the world's most progressive DJ collectives is unparalleled picking up multiple awards for their scratching and djing on the competition circuit and excelling as recording artists.
Alloy Mental are due to drop their debut album through Skint Records on Monday 28th May (Ireland). Comprised of Belfast based trio Martin J. Corrigan, Danny Todd and DJ/Producer Phil Kieran, Alloy Mental sound like Nitzer Ebb on a collision course with Iggy & The Stooges whilst tough techno bangs and rolls along in the background. 'We Have Control' is the product of three years of writing, recording and playing live to packed clubs and rock venues alike.
With their record DATAROCK DATAROCK due in shops worldwide in June, Norway's Datarock make a timely visit to The Beach Party. The band describes their sound as "a mixture of musical styles we like" listing their major artistic influences as Devo <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devo> , Talking Heads <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talking_Heads> and by beautiful coincidence Happy Mondays <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Mondays> .
