    Hi,can anyone tell me where i would get 2 railway sleepers,im based rathangan co kildare,and have tried a few places but no joy,any help would be great.thanks

    There is a place in maynooth, just after the bridge if coming from the town side, can't remember the name. It's a timber and fuel yard and they sell new pretreated sleepers. I think the price was around the 20 oddmark each.

    There are often sleepers along the side of the kildare line, it was upgraded a few years ago and sleepers are often left at old stations, might still be there FOC

    You don't say what you want the sleepers for but you might want to read this before you buy old ones.

    As i mentioned,the place in maynooth sells new sleepers that are pretreated, not with tar but the same stuff they put on decking, so safe enough.
