I'll have to say DVDs, though I don't see it as a waste. Just counted the ones I've yet to watch and the number rests at 157. Guess it's going to be a long winter.

Oh man did I waste some amount of money buying stuff off that site when I was younger.

The worst thing with me is that I can't forget when i've lost, wasted or had my money stolen. I have the exact (ok rough) amount of money in my head that I could still have if it wasn't for all of the above. It does my nut in.

But regarding wastes of money. Computer parts, Eating out on the weekends and now, thanks to Amps, my cyber nations account :(

I've gotten pretty good with money in recent years so I don't waste that much anymore. I don't drink (much), smoke or own a car. About the only thing I spend regularly on is dvds and books but I've cut down a lot in the last year. Occasionally I'll splash out on something for my computer and there's the odd collectable item I get from ebay but otherwise my weekly expenses are a fraction of that of my friends.

The more I spend the more I have to work. And I hate work! I'd rather be broke and have some leisure time :)

    DVD's. Lucozade Sport. Clothes.

I suppose none of the above are stupid crap, I just spend way too much on them.

World of Warcraft and caffeinated beverages.

Subways, petrol, weed and munchies are the main causes.

Why are people saying World of Warcraft? Sure it's a waste of life (85 days played over the last 1.5 years for me) but it's only about €11 per month. Compare that to buying a PS2 game every month, and it's a massive saving.

BOOZE! well, booze in clubs. when i wasn't workin i could drink just as often for a tenner a night on cans, now cos i have money i get talked into 'going out'

O and ALDI specials. Not sayin i haven't got some useful stuff, but i always pick up bout five other things while i'm there. Yesterday went in for a €30 rucksack, spent €110. Damn my impulse buying!

Definitely dvds, Ive hundreds in my collection. Many of em are films I might watch once & would never go out of my way to see again. Ive cut down a lot recently though. Have only bought a half dozen or so this year so far.

I dont waste half as much on computer related shiny things lately either.

    Cigarettes.
    Booze.
    Take-outs.
Groceries I buy and never get around to consuming.

I've stopped all buying all those expensive Cafe Sol/Insomnia half-stale sambos as you don't get much change out of a tenner. For one or two euro more I get the lunch specials at some of the best restaurants around town.

Booze, Fags, Credit, Buying Lunch in delis or local bars, Innocent Smoothies (it's an addiction I tell ya!), CD's, DVD's, Taxis when I could just wait 10 minutes and get a bus, Gadgets I don't really need, Screenclick (must have a backlog of about 50 DVD's I haven't watched yet!), 'Lending' it to my brother.

Music (CDs), sweets (chocolate), lunch, beer, food shopping when I'm hungry (bad idea), gadgets - I usually save up the splurge on some new toy.

A few of you mentioned 'credit' as something you waste money on, do you mean credit card debt?

    They mean phone credit.

you see that's your first mistake right there. credit cards are the most expensive form of loan. i have no idea what my credit card interest rate is and i never intend to find out. all it costs me is the €40 idiot tax once a year
