Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, It's been a while since I've been to a sports shop in Waterford (living in Cork I go to John Buckley Sports) but I will be down over the weekend and was just wondering if there is a decent shop where I can get some running gear like singlets and distance running socks.

    Any ideas??

Just to let ye know the last time I was around there was Alfie's and JD's, that was about it! Has anything changed?

    Yep.. JD's closed down.

We're now left with Alfies really! The lad who runs the whole operation in there is a very good runner though so they do have the right equipment in stock most of the time.

nice one, thanks for that. I will try Alfie's so.

JD's closed down...when did that happen? Can't say I'm sad to hear it, they were not very nice and totally overcharged! Unless U were one of the top seeds in St. Annes you were not treated well! Just my opinion ;)

Alfie's is good for all specialist running gear, especially shoes. No other shop in Waterford comes close it, unfortunately it's still not as good as John Buckley's.

Ask the lads and girls in there for advice. I give them ten out of ten for being helpful and polite, last time I was in there I couldn't believe how much bother a guy went to for me to get a problem sorted out with a pair of shoes I was trying to buy.

great, I will go straight to Alfie's so. As for shoes I'm happy with my Gel Kayano. I just need another singlet and some decent socks.
